Orchestration of Prokofiev’s Ten Pieces for Piano

Prokofiev wrote his Ten Pieces, Op. 12, over eight years during his studies at St. Petersburg Conservatory from 1904 to 1914. The movements evoke antique dances like the capriccio and the gavotte, although some are more obscure, like the allemande, which bears little resemblance to its traditional form. The piece also shows some early instances of Prokofiev's satiric and frenetic writing in the last two movements, the humoresque scherzo and scherzo.

I am orchestrating the movements and will hopefully complete the suite soon. I would love for an orchestra to perform the orchestrations eventually.
